My 20+ Favourite High Waisted Shorts For Summer Outfits

Let’s talk about fantastic high waisted shorts that are an essential item to have in your wardrobe.

Welcome again to a fashion outfits blog, I’m Laura Brunereau, fashion blogger, branding expert and businesswoman. I started working in this industry at 18, studied a career in fashion, and founded 3 companies. I am glad to share all I know with you!

We are in the middle of Summer, the heat is on and we want to look amazing while being comfortable and fresh. Well, shorts are a very good bet and are essentials in your wardrobe.

I selected 20+ outfits with high waisted shorts so you can choose if you prefer a summer casual style or a classy look. Shorts are a basic item and what you select to wear with it transforms your outfit from vintage, dressy, cute, hipster, boho… possibilities are endless.

Levis company made denim an essential in our closets. Jeans shorts are a huge seller this season and in the previous seasons. This year high waisted bottoms are very present, specially used with crop tops, like in my today’s outfit. Belted shorts are specially trendy too.

We are already in august and we have two months left of summer time. You wanna know what I love about shorts? You can make a very good transition to fall wearing cardigans, nice sweaters and even high knees boots. IF you are in a budget you can easily find very cute styles under 20 bucks. I chose for you many in a budget items too.

Picture this, hot summer day, the Spanish costa del sol, and picturesque streets in the middle of Marbella. The ideal scenario for a shooting!

After a delicious and well deserved freshly squeezed orange juice (oranges in Spain taste incredibly good), JL and I were refreshed and ready for a photoshoot.

Crop tops are a huge trend this season and I needed to make at least one look wearing it.

I am using today a navy blue inspired look, I love it and have so many blue stuff in my wardrobe. Featuring a white floral crop top with high waisted shorts from MANGO and a pair of French BALMAIN PARIS sunglasses.

Today’s shooting took place in the magnificent “Casco Antiguo de Marbella”. If you ever visit here you need to take the time to walk these charming Spanish streets.
You will want to take pictures everywhere!

This style was the day two of my #fashionchallenge of 365 days of trendy outfits. I did this photo session in collaboration with @burgaofficial. They sent me their new collection of phone cases and it’s amazing!
